In terms of specifications, the ASUS VivoBook Flip 14 “TP470EZ” features Intel’s 10nm Tiger Lake CPUs which are part of the 11th Generation Family. The two options for the Flip 14 include Intel’s Core i7-1165G7 and Core i5-1135G7. Both CPUs feature 4 cores and 8 threads and come with 12 MB / 8 MB cache, respectively. The clock speeds for the Core i7 are rated at up to 4.70 GHz while the Core i5 chip operates up to 4.20 GHz.

The notebook can be configured with up to 16 GB LPDDR4X (4266 MHz) memory but the base config comes with 8 GB LPDDR4X memory. Storage includes a base configuration of 128 GB PCIe SSDs and up to 1 TB capacity. There’s also Intel Optane memory onboard (H10) with a capacity of 32 GB.

The most important aspect of this notebook however is the fact that its graphics specs lists “First Intel Discrete Graphics”. This is referring to the discrete DG1 GPU which will be powering Intel’s discrete graphics products for the notebook segment. No specifications are mentioned but DG1 is expected to carry the same 96 EUs or 768 cores as the standard Iris Xe GPU but with higher clocks and its own dedicated memory. The DG1 GPU is configured with 4 GB of VRAM and it is likely that it could be GDDR6 based.

The GPU specifically is referred to as the Intel Iris Xe Max as identified over at ASUS’s website by Momomo_US.

In addition to that, the notebook features a 14″ LED-backlit display with a Full HD resolution. The screen has an 82% screen-to-body ratio. I/O includes a Thunderbolt 4 USB Type-C port, 1 USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A port, 1 USB 2.0 port, 1 HDMI output, 1 MicroSD card reader, 1 security lock, and the DC-in power plug. There’s WiFi 6 (Gig+ 802.11ax) and WiFi 5 capabilities along with Bluetooth 5.0. The notebook features fast charging and takes 49 minutes to charge to 60%. It comes with a 42W battery and a 65W power adapter. The dimensions of the notebook are 1.87cm (height), 32.40cm (width), 22.00cc (depth) and weighs in at 1.5kg.

There’s no word on the launch of the ASUS VivoBook Flip 14 but it is expected to carry a price of around $1000 US.
